Commercial Property Tax Savings

The Challenge:

Cambourne Financial Planning Ltd based in Loughborough, wanted to take advantage of attractive tax incentives offered by the SIPPS Scheme (Self Invested Personal Pension Schemes) for themselves. They needed an RICS qualified Surveyor to give them the right advice that would enable them to find their ideal property, convert it into appropriate offices and structure the rent to comply with HMRC guidelines giving them the maximum Tax savings under this scheme.

The Solution:

We advised them how to convert their chosen property and when all the building works were completed, our rental valuation and in-depth commercial report structured the rent in relation to the overall project costs; making sure that their finance application was in full compliance. Even with their 24 years in financial services, applying for funding under this scheme is a complicated process; so we worked closely with them at every stage to make sure that all the relevant criteria were met.
